Urban Beats (CEO) Interview

Interviewer: I understand that you have a club and a record company. If you don’t mind explaining to our readers what exactly do you do regarding both of your companies.

SoSweetCherry:

I am the CEO (Chief executive officer) of club beats and urban beats records. The club was made as a place to chill, listen to good music, and have laughs without the drama that we go through day to day. We hold concerts and events. At Urban Beats Records, I work for my artist. They’re like my second family and they have my full support. I invest in them, networking and promoting them. I want what’s best for them. I actually love what I am doing. Especially when I see them perform. I have never been prouder to see them performing.

Interviewer:

what made you decide to start up your own company. Was it easy for you to pick the right set of people to join you on your journey

SoSweetCherry:

I love music especially from the 80’s or 90’s. The idea came to life I was scrolling through Instagram and I noticed I was bored at what I was seeing in the music industry. There have been many copies of certain celebrities and I would like or love to see more. Like I'm hoping to see more people roleplay ice cube, Snoop Dogg (Snoop Lion) or even Sage the Gemini. So I had talked to my COO (Chief operating officer) @irishcream.vu from Club Beats, about it and she had given me her full support. We already have been helping Safaree and he was also a major support. It had started with 3 and it has grown ever since. Without the support of them, this would have never happened

Interviewer:

I see that you do events ms.cherry. What kind of events do you do to help promote your artist?

SoSweetCherry:

we try to bring new ideas, but sometimes event ideas are too lit to just do once. We try to reach out to different audiences. Old school, new school, hip-hop, latin, and etc. We want everyone to have a great time and to be included. We also like to book artist from the UBR label to further promote them.

Interviewer:

What do you expect from your artist that you promote?

SoSweetCherry:

What we expect from our artist is that we want them to give there 100%. I and my team work hard for them if they work hard for me. We support one another. When we all are working hard then we all win.
